Beatnik Poetry

K's 1st grade class has been working really hard on their writing skills. They had a beatnik poetry reading today for the parents. It was adorable, drums, dark shades, spotlight, snaps instead of claps... the whole bit. Mrs. D. is so energetic and creative and we are going to miss her so much next school year.

Skiing
Rushing down
On the slope.
Going around around and around
Going up up up
On the chairs
That's like
Monkey bars
moving
in the air.
Going down down down
On the snow
Like sliding on two sticks.
I love skiing
