Visiting with Nana and Papa

Yesterday we went to visit with Nana and Papa. They have had a rough go of it lately in the health department and a hug from them just seemed in order. Nana was having an especially hard time this week, but in a twist of irony, it was Papa that ended up in ICU the morning that we arrived. He needed to have his lung aspirated due to fluid build up. Poor guy has been on dialysis for a few months now. He was feeling well when we saw him and even though the picture below doesn't depict it, he was happy that we were there and excited to get his picture taken with the a few of his great-grand kids. (I must have just missed his smile when I snapped the picture, but seriously, he was doing great)

We were also fortune enough to go to breakfast and hang out with my mother-in-law's brother and family (see picture above). We all kept Nana company while she waited for her hubby to arrive back home. It was a beautiful day over-all and we were thankful to see family and get our much needed hugs.
