The never-ending birthday has finally ended, but was OH-SO FUN!!!!
FRI:
We went skiing in Park City at The Canyons. Um, can we say GORGEOUS? It was amazing. We went for the first time (to this resort) last spring and we just loved it. JJ of course scored some more free lift tickets so we could duplicate our trip and we had a blast.
The evening was topped off with a dinner prepared by Aunt Cheryl and most of her kids. It was a pleasure hanging out with Granny J and the family. The kids all play well together and our kids just have so much fun with their cousins.
SAT: First, a morning of sledding...

The next activity was a very special ride with Aunt Cheryl and her beautiful horses. As we watched her with the kids, I literally teared up. Thankful that the kids had the opportunity to experience something new and grateful to Cheryl for the time she was investing in them.
K especially gravitated toward the baby (Princessa), but was fearlessly in love with all of the horses.
This is Uncle Whitey's pregnant horse, she was very friendly and was quite curious.
Princessa acted more like a puppy than a horse.

This is Aunt Cheryl on her Peruvian Paso (CLICK HERE to learn more about this breed) This was beautiful to watch. He was so graceful and it was impressive to watch Aunt Cheryl handle him.
K took her turn first. Aunt Cheryl was a good teacher and was super patient with the kids.

Later that evening we had dinner with friends, shopping and some more hanging out with family (and met baby Ava for the first time) in the evening.... AAHH a wonderful day!
SUN: Just before we traveled home, K-ster and Mama were blessed to be able to spending the morning with Granny J. She is so kind to us and we caught ourselves laughing with her most of the morning. She is funny and encouraging and just so nice to be around. We love her and we were grateful to have some special time with her. Even though we had spent the whole weekend bunking and spending an hour or two here and there with Granny J, this was our favorite time with her. No rushing to go anywhere, no cutting our time short... just hanging out with no agenda. What a great end to a fun filled weekend.

What a special birthday week K had.
That ski trip looks like so much fun, and what little girl doesn't like horseback riding. A dream trip.
What a memory for her and your family.
